Being SHY, SHY people don't announce all theĀ events they do together - and sometimes they even decide to do things unannounced!

Feed My Starving Children

After Great Vespers on Saturday night, Dec 29, SHY went to Feed My Starving Children and in less than two hours time, packed 9,504 meals, enough to feed 26 kids for a year. Way to go, SHY!

Thanksgiving Pilgrimage to Chicago

On Thanksgiving weekend, some SHY people (Sean, Mark, Nicholas, Jocelyn, Emily, Darren, Jessica, Joshua, Malene and Mandy (Joshua's sister: a SHY friend; and Aidan, Josh and Malene's son, a SHY man in training)) traveled to Chicago to visit with His Eminence, Archbishop Job. On Sunday morning, they worshipped at the Archbishop's Cathedral.

After the Divine Liturgy, Sean and Mark and Nicholas and Jocelyn came out to discover that a tire on their vehicle had been slashed. Lovely Chicago!

Fr John, the priest at the Cathedral, told them of a tire store a few blocks away. After putting on the spare, they went to the tire store. A long line of cars was there, waiting to have tires replaced. Hmmm...

But hey, it was about adventure! and adventure is what they got! More importantly - they didn't miss any meals.

Soup and Game Board Night

SHY got together at the home of Josh and Malene on Saturday, Nov 3, following Great Vespers for a soup and game board night.

Well, I'm Aidan. Well, this is my Mommy. And well, that's my Daddy up there. Well, when I grow up, I'm gonna be SHY just like my Daddy-man.
